The face behind the blog
Well, since a few people wanted to know more about me… here I go.
My name’s Virginia, I’m 22 and I’m from Seville, Spain. I’m currently studying English at uni in my city but I’m planning on spending a year abroad in the UK (in Leicester) starting next September.
I absolutely love the 50’s and 60’s: Marlon Brando, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn; the Boyd sisters (Pattie & Jenny), Jean Shrimpton & Twiggy; rock ‘n’ roll, the Beat Generation, Elvis, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, Led Zeppelin… I also like Jimi Hendrix, Donovan, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Queen… I really dig music and I listen to a lot of stuff so I could really go on forever.
Regarding The Beatles, I can say that my favourite Beatle is Paul, though I have a huge soft spot for John. I couldn’t choose only one of their albums but I love Sgt. Pepper’s, Revolver, Abbey Road, the White Album and A Hard Day’s Night. I don’t have a favourite song either because I love them all basically and because it changes from time to time… but A Day In The Life, I Will, If I Fell and Here, There & Everywhere are probably my all-time favourites. And in case you were wondering, yes, I ship J/P.
I love books and reading as much as I love music. I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter, The Lord Of The Rings and Sherlock Holmes. The Catcher In The Rye and Gone With The Wind are two of my favourite books ever, along with On The Road, Lolita and 1984.
I don’t watch TV that much but I love shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Sherlock, Friends, Skins and The Office.
I love Aaron Johnson and Jim Sturgess a lot :’) Robert Downey Junior, Jude Law, Anne Hathaway, Jeremy Irons and Meryl Streep are other actors/actresses I like.
Cats, travelling and chocolate are three of my passions in life. And you’re probably bored by now so I guess I’ll stop. Ask me anything if you want to know more…. I won’t bite ;D
